Some Christians like to say that god gave us free will and then others may say that but i don’t mean it as they just love to infringe on your rights. Take Bryan Fischer from the American Family Association as a classic example of this weird misunderstanding of free will. This fool actually wants to make pornography and adultery illegal! Regardless what you think of pornography and adultery, the point is he is saying you do not have the free will to do it if you want, as it should be illegal. That means punishable, and so its not free will unless you consider christian freewill the same as arabic free will...... steal something and get your hand cut off.

So is this Fischers personal view or is this the view of the American Family Association as well? No they oppose free will as well, by being anti abortion, homophobic and all the other things that uncivilised people generally are. Guess there is no difference between the Arabic religions of hate.

Random Chats With Believers VII

The other day I was walking around campus and I saw one of my favorite jehovas witnesses, all irony intended. And this time she didn’t approach and it occurred to me that she has not approached me in over 6 months and now let me tell you why.

About 6 months or more before this, I got so angry with the insistent lies in there watch tower magazine which they try force down your throat as fact. That I told them if they have not go anything real and scientific to show to me then please don't bother speaking to me, as I don’t have time to listen to lies. I said I will listen to an argument that does not rely on personal experience or the existence of god proven using the bible. I concluded to her, that a scientific experiment, reviewed and published would be ideal.

So why is this important?
Personal experience is exactly that it cannot be checked. So if it cannot be independently checked why should I believe it?
Proving god using the bible is the same as proving allah using the koran or Hagrid using Harry Potter. Its not real!

So that’s why I don’t get bothered anymore, and for me it makes the world a better place. For the simple reason that I know every time she sees me, she doubts her faith a little more. After all she cant prove what I asked her.

So here is a person consoling the mother of a colleague, some would say friend, of his (forget all the political bullshit). But what do those islamic clerics say? To not have sex is dumb

I saw this article on the beeb the other day and it got me thinking about sex and religions view on sex.

Why are religions so against sex, and more importantly against pre-marital sex. We are animals that crave the desire to procreate first and foremost, it is the carnal drive that wants us to engage in sex. So if this is in our nature why are religions so against it? And if sex was such a sin.... why is it so good?

There is no reason to not have sex. It is a normal and natural thing to want to do and to enjoy. Any religious reason behind not having sex, comes from a time when men were the dominant people in society that didn't want there wives sleeping with other men. This is a way of protecting that only your genes are getting passed on.

The thing is we are in a time now where you can get made pregnant in a clinic wihtout even having sex! We live in a time where there are things like contraception, so you can avoid getting pregnant. So why should there be so much prohabition against sex? Go out and have sex and have fun, you are not going to go to hell. Because, there is no hell!

Sex is healthy and good for you. Enjoy it.

Abortion III

The thing that confounds me about abortion even when we look past the not allowing people to decide for themselves must surely be the fact that anti-abortionists consider a fetus a human. Here is the mission statement page for the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform....which have religious ties.

So if a fetus is a human then surely it can survive outside of the mother at any point, let that be any time from fertilized egg onwards according to the group above. But this is not the case, we all know that these stages of development have to take place in the womb of the mother. So this means it is only able to exist while in the host body...reminds me of another organism i.e. parasite. I am not saying kids are parasites, hell I love kids, but we have to realize what a fetus is. Its not a human unless it can survive outside of the host and up until that point the mother has the right to decide what to do with it. Thats why late term abortions are only done in life threatening situations, because the fetus is reaching a point of self survival outside of the womb.

Religion is against abortion, yet god is the biggest culprit.

Religion always promotes free will, but don't decide you want to have an abortion.

I hope one day a lady can get to do what she wants with her body without fear of intimidation.

Abortion II

In the last post about abortion, I gave a definition of what abortion is. But lets look at this definition again. http://iamchristianiamanatheist.blogspot.kr/2013/02/abortion-i.html

abortion: the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus: as

a : spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation

b : induced expulsion of a human fetus

c : expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy

If we look at this we see that humans are only culpable of 1/3 of all abortions, that is if we say that the abortion split between these 3 categories is equal. I have to say this is highly improbable, I would guess the numbers are heavily stacked on the side of spontaneous expulsion i.e. miscarriage, still birth.

So if this then is the case, who is behind all the abortions? The answer must surely be god, as this deity has control over everything according to religious people. This is explicit then in saying that god is the ultimate abortion service provider and he even goes so far as to do abortions without asking the lady in question if she wants one!

So much for free will I guess? How can god or the church dictate about abortion, when god is causing so may abortions?
